Alvar Aalto Radio Table 1933

This is a lovely example of Aalto’s Radio table.
It is rarely seen in its standard bent-knee version but is rarer still with the finger jointed leg known as the ‘Warleg’.
These were only produced during the war years due to glue shortages for the standard version and have a different and much sought after aesthetic.
Re-shellacked to show a beautiful honey colour to the birch surface.

‘Aalto Design Artek’ stencil to stretcher.
